Expatriates in the UAE who wish to sponsor up to five relatives for residence visas must have a minimum monthly salary of Dh10,000 and adequate housing, according to a new resolution issued by the chairman of the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security. For those wanting to sponsor six or more relatives, a minimum monthly salary of Dh15,000 is required, with the director-general reviewing applications. The resolution covers more than 15 types of visas and includes procedures for lost or damaged passports or ID cards. The ICP has also approved a guidebook on the unified system for various types of entry visas.
